Is anything consolidating into your group that you did not declare?
The IPO perimeter — which companies are inside the group being listed — is self-declared, and everything downstream trusts it. Group readiness is the weakest entity in that list, so a subsidiary nobody remembered is not a rounding error: it is a policy gap that surfaces late, in front of the reporting accountant.
GLEIF publishes, free and in the public domain, which entities report a given company as their accounting consolidating parent. So this is the first check on the site that can contradict a company about its structure rather than about its procedures.
The declared perimeter against GLEIF
This one check leaves your browser
Everything else on this site runs entirely on your machine. This check asks GLEIF’s public register a question, so it has to send something. What is sent is the LEI and nothing else. An LEI is a public identifier — it is on the company’s own filings and anyone can search it. The entity names you type below are not sent: the group comes back from GLEIF and the comparison happens here, in this browser. Nothing happens until you press the button.
What this does not tell you
- It can only ever add. It can never confirm your perimeter is complete. An entity appears here only if it holds an LEI of its own and has named your company as its parent. A dormant subsidiary — exactly the kind most often left off a perimeter — usually holds neither. That is why a quiet result is marked unverifiable rather than green.
- An extra entity is a question. A company can consolidate into the group and still sit legitimately outside the IPO perimeter: sold, dormant, being carved out, deliberately excluded. What matters is that its exclusion was a decision rather than an omission.
- It is accounting consolidation, not ownership. GLEIF records the accounting consolidating parent. That is not the same question as who owns what, and entities may decline to report a parent under recognised exceptions.
- Nothing you declare is sent anywhere. The LEI goes to GLEIF; the group comes back; the comparison happens in this browser.
One of three external checks that sit beside the FPPP criteria rather than inside them — no ICAEW objective covers group structure, so this emits no finding and touches none of the auto-fail gates. The others are auditor eligibility and the sanctions sweep. All three are free; the diagnostic they are reported inside is not.
